Replace Lenovo Thinkpad T430S Bottom Case Cover

For the convenience, here we provide a universal instruction for your reference, it is simple and some steps may be different to the disassembly of your laptop. If you need a detailed manual, please contact us, we will email you if we have.

1. First of all, shut down your Lenovo Thinkpad T430S. Disconnect the AC adapter and remove the battery. Remove the SIM card and the ExpressCard blank bezel.
2. Removal steps of Serial Ultrabay Enhanced bay or blank bezel
Hold the bay lock latch in the unlocked position, and slide the bay eject latch in the arrow direction on the latch  . Then pull out the Serial Ultrabay Enhanced bay or the blank bezel.
3. Unplug the connectors of PCI Express Mini Card for wireless WAN and remove the screw securing the card, then remove the card.
4. Remove the Thinkpad T430S keyboard.

    loose screws securing the DIMM cover, then remove the DIMM cover.
    Remove two screws securing the keyboard.
    Open the Thinkpad T430S and push the keyboard toward the screen a little, at the same time push down the keyboard a little toward to detach the front edge of the keyboard from the frame. Then lift up the keyboard from the bottom of the keyboard.
    Lift up the keyboard, now you can access the keyboard cable, detach the cable connector.
    Remove the Thinkpad T430S keyboard.

5. Turn the laptop upside down again. Remove the six screws on the bottom which secure the keyboard bezel.
6. Open the laptop. Gently unplug connectors of the wireless Lan cable and remove the screw securing the card, then remove the card.
7. Remove the two screws secure the keyboard bezel, loosen the keyboard bezel by your fingers and lift it a little, uplug the FPC able. Now, you can remove the keyboard bezel.
8. Unplug the Thinkpad T430S fan cable and unscrew the four screws as per the order as shown, you can remove the fan assembly now.
9. Remove all the parts in the Thinkpad T430S bottom base.
10. Revese the procedure to assemble Thinkpad T430S bottom base.
